Test Prep

While we would love to live in a world where a single exam doesn’t carry as much weight as 4 years worth of classes or weekly commitments to volunteer programs for the past decade, the days of “test blind” and “test optional” are dwindling. As more and more universities are reinstating standardized test requirements, we want to make sure that any test is a chance to strengthen an application. For a myriad of different tests, we offer prep classes for individuals, small cohorts of friends, and large groups, in person and online. We tutor all standardized tests with an intensive schedule that is guaranteed to boost your scores.

SAT/act

The SAT was gone for a minute, and now it’s back in yet another new format. This version is poised to stay, though, as colleges all over America are bringing back the test requirement a means to sort through piles of applications and differentiate students at all levels.

We all know how elusive a 1600 is on the SAT has been and now with the redesigned test, we have new books, new rules, and less time to compare ourselves with every other graduating high school student. We are already up to speed and beyond on new material, strategies, and content to ensure that this version of the SAT is your best.

The ACT is still around if you prefer to show off there. This test and its format have been impressively stalwart over the last few decades, and all universities see elite ACT scores as excellent markers of collegiate success. It’s up to you which test you choose.

In the end, every college has their own take on standardized tests that can change from year to year, and the differences between “test blind”, “test optional”, and “required” are all still out there. Before you decide to take or pass on these tests, make sure to consider all of your options and know how it affects your options for applying. If you’re unsure, we’d love to chat with you!

For SAT Prep, we offer 3 options:

˙2-Week Intensive Courses

˙8-Week Standard Prep Courses

˙Go-At-Your-Own-Pace” Individual Options

For other tests, just ask and we can create individual or group programs specifically for your needs.

ap/High school/Middle school

Similar to the SAT, we have seen a lot of change come to AP classes as schools decrease their AP offerings or eliminate their AP programs all together, focusing instead on dual-credit college coursework or higher level courses within the scope of their own school. However, the AP exams still exist and they’re still popular among students and universities alike. We can tutor you in any of your AP classes, and add even more distinction and recognition to your application.

If you’re looking into private middle schools or high schools who have their own entrance exams, we can also build dedicated support sessions to aid admission to wherever you aim to attend.
